Reactoonz and Cascading Reels

Reactoonz slot machine doesn’t have a standard reel structure. Instead of a regular reel board, Reactoonz features a 7×7 grid and cascading reels. The wins are formed when you get a cluster of at least five symbols either horizontally or vertically. So as long as there are five symbols in a cluster touching each other, you have a win.

Cascading reels provide multiple chances for extra wins as one spin can be prolonged. Mainly, when you spin the reels and get a win, the winning symbols will explode and disappear while new ones will fall into the empty positions. The cascade continues as long as there are new wins formed. When no consecutive wins occur, the cascade ends, and you spin the reels again. The cascade also plays a big role in the features, as to activate some you will need to fill the meter with consecutive wins.

Symbols

As for the symbols, Reactoonz slot comes with only alien symbols. There are no playing card icons we see in so many slot machines which is pretty refreshing. Anyhow, there are eight symbols altogether. Four of them are one-eyed aliens and these comprise the set of lower-paying icons. The other four are two-eyed aliens and they pay bigger wins. The purple two-eyed alien is the most rewarding icon of them all.

Quantum Leap Features

Reactoonz is all about filling up quantum meters and triggering some of the features. Now, when it comes to the Quantum Leap Meter on the right side of the screen, it can trigger five features. The meter is filled with consecutive wins and once it’s full it will award one of the features randomly and add it to the queue. All for features can be queued and if you manage to charge the meter the fifth time Gargantoon feature becomes active. Let’s see what are the first four features:

• Implosion – this feature turns three to six symbols wild while at the same time destroying all adjacent symbols.
• Incision – you get a wild symbol in the centre of the grid with two diagonal lines through the grid which will then transform into matching symbols.
• Demolition – this feature will destroy all one-eyed symbols and all matching symbols.
• Alteration – it will choose one random one-eyed symbol and all matching symbols and turn them into a matching icon.

When all of these four features are queued then the main Garantoon feature becomes active. Garantoon is the three-eyed monster alien you see on the right side of the screen. When his feature is active, the 3×3 monster symbol appears as wild on the reels replacing all the symbols. With each cascade, he moves on the grid becoming 2×2 symbol and then he divides into nine separate wilds which can bring quite big wins along the way!

Random Wilds, Fluctuating Symbol, and Giantoonz

Garantoon has one more role and that is randomly dropping four to eight wild symbols on the grid. This can happen after any non-winning spin and the feature is called Instability.

Giantoonz feature gets active when four matching symbols form a square cluster. This is when these symbols become Ginatoonz, that is, one 2×2 symbol which will double the wins.

Finally, there are Fluctuating symbols. Mainly, on each spin, a one-eyed alien is marked as a fluctuating symbol and if it becomes a part of a win it will leave two wilds behind creating more winning chances.
