Reflex Gaming Jump onto the Gigablox

Reflex Gaming will soon be featuring some gigantic new features in its games courtesy of Yggdrasil’s Gigablox feature. Relax announced the partnership at the start of February.

Reflex gain access to the feature via their membership of the YG Masters programme. This partnership programme allows developers to sign up with Yggdrasil to use some of the Swedish company’s iconic and innovative features.

Reflex are just the latest YG Masters partners to sign up for these mechanical frameworks.

Gigablox is already well known to Yggdrasil’s customers. The mechanic sends its gigantic six-by-six blocks onto the reels of hit titles like Lucky Neko and Hades.

Yggdrasil have been notable for clever features and beautiful designs. The company has nearly 100 games available to UK players. Based in Sweden Yggdrasil have been strongly associated with Nordic and Scandinavian themes – their name comes from Norse mythology, the name of a miraculous tree of life.

Reflex Gaming are UK based who make games in all sectors of the gambling industry, both on and off-line.

Among their online titles are the slots: Moley Moolah, Dragon Queen, Guido’s Gold, and Jurassic Jackpot.

Reflex are now lined up alongside DreamTech Gaming and Bang Bang Games as YG Masters Partners, a programme that launched in late 2020.

The deal is called the “framework offering” and it allows development studios to make games using Yggdrasil’s ground-breaking GATI technology. This gear lets developers get their games quickly onto a major platform, distributed around the world.

This means access to game mechanics like Splitz, MultiMAX, and Gigablox.

Moley Moolah was Reflex’s first release through the Framework Offering, and more Reflex titles will follow this year.

Partner Programs head at Yggdrasil, Stuart McCarthy, says:

“By offering our proven mechanics to our YG Masters partners they can launch new games knowing they will appeal to global players. YG Masters help our partners rapidly develop content for distribution to our vast operator network, while within our framework offering, studios can elevate their portfolios even further.

“Our partnership with Reflex Gaming is going from strength-to-strength and we are excited to see the upcoming titles they will deliver with the Gigablox™ mechanic to further fuel their success.”

For their part, Reflex tell players they can expect some epic releases in 2021.

“We are really impressed with what Yggdrasil has done on their games using these mechanics. Our game design team already has ideas on how to deploy these clever slot mechanics on our own upcoming games,” says Mat Ingram, CPO at Reflex Gaming.

Partnerships like this are becoming more common in the online video slots world. Microgaming have forged a major partnership with a whole slew of developers, whose games get world-wide distribution and major visibility.

Of course, we can’t know the financial details of such deals, and the proof for players will be in the pudding.

Yggdrasil’s games have not been enormous hits in the UK. However, they have always got good reviews, and it’s not hard to see why – they look fantastic, and almost every game has something novel to explore.
